Join us for a night of Celestial Soundscapes with Lakewater at Ravenstar.
Date to coincide with the Perseid Showers Saturday, August 16, 2025 exact date and time TBC.
Lakewater performs
Lakewater features David Chevalier on bass, and Claire Webster on percussion. The night will centre around viewing the Perseid Meteor Showers with ambient sound art accompaniment by Lakewater.
Lakewater is excited to again play this very special event – the third annual Perseid Shower show at Ravenstar. We enjoy observing the interplay between the music and wildlife, especially birds.
Lakewater music
We invite you to have a listen to some of our ambient music, as recorded on Idol Vapourings. Our work is available on the website in CD, and digital download formats, and is available on Apple Music and Spotify. Please consider purchasing music directly from the label and/or artists – we appreciate your support!
Lakewater recorded some sessions with Adam Ferri at Big Bay Sound in its previous incarnation with Andy Elliott. Check out the playlist below for a taste of our ambient noise art.
Ravenstar’s exquisite gardens
Ravenstar invites you explore the gardens, sculptures and magical places. Come before sundown to enjoy its beauty and find your ideal spot. Bundle up and recline into the beauty of the open night sky. Gather around the bonfire and relax in one of the muskoka chairs. Savour intermission at the dome with famous Ravenstar treats and connect with fellow space voyagers.
See the Ravenstar website for more information about this iconic place and its nature-based educational and culinary offerings.
Merch will be available
Merchandise and recordings will be available for sale at the event. We recommend bringing cash as Ravenstar is a phone-free zone. Or, check out some of our recordings and merch here.
